We all know that over the years the Christian establishment has tried to force feed their religion down our throats. Most of the ways they have done this is quite obvious. Remember when they were allowed to pray before high school football games? Not so subtle.
One of the other less subtle ways they try and spread Christianity to the masses is by inserting their religious symbols onto normal objects. They put "In God we Trust" on American currency and they even made the lowercase T look like a cross. That way every time an English speaking child would write a word like butter or vittles they would be reminded of Jesus, and the myth that he is our Lord.
Sure, they pretend putting a little mark at the bottom of the letter makes it seem like they are not excluding persons of other religions who use the English language, but we all know what a farce this is.
Whether you are Christian are not, teach your children better. Teach your children to add the little thing at the bottom of the lowercase T so that it is simply a letter in the alphabet and not an endorsement of a particular religion. The good folks at Microsoft were tolerant enough to not make their lowercase T's look like crosses in Microsoft Word.
What, you Christians think I'm overreacting? Well what if the symbol for Satanism just happened to be an uppercase B. Would you Christian's want that changed or would you just "chill" like you ask me to do.
Yet I'm still not asking for wholesale changes, just a little common courtesy so that when I read something you write I do not feel left out due to the fact that I don't recognize your version of the lowercase T as a religious symbol, while at the same time knowing that you do recognize it as a religious symbol, which separates us as individuals, and therefore makes us different. Because although we atheists will go to extraordinary lengths in proving that we are very different from Christians, we hate being reminded of that fact by Christians themselves.
